Control systems were built to run, not to be online. We put clear, safe boundaries around them without getting in the way of operations.

In many sites, the office network and the control network are really one network. That means a laptop in the office can reach equipment on the plant floor. It is a safety risk before it is a security one.

We separate them into layers, with controlled links between each one and rules that understand industrial traffic. Outside vendors get supervised access through a checkpoint instead of a direct tunnel.

We write everything down as we go — what changed, who approved it, and why — so a NERC CIP or audit request is simply answered.
